"The First Ally" starts off (after a one-page flashback) with a high-speed pursuit between the Batmobile and a helicopter through the streets of Miami. In an unusual move, however, Batman isn't the one behind the wheel - it's actually Alfred driving the car while Batman is in the back preparing to board the helicopter mid-flight. And while capable, he's clearly not entirely comfortable in the role. Batman has to remind him that the car can shrug off small arms fire, and from the helicopter Hush comments that outside of Gotham City Batman "drives like an old man." Still, Alfred gets Batman into position to launch his ejector seat after a shortcut through a baseball stadium.
